Description: First 5 Humboldt, in partnership with the United Indian Health Services, the Yurok Wellness Coalition and the Hoopa Tribal Court, will be hosting community forums to discuss how everyone can work together to support Tribal families to prevent the separation of families and to reduce prenatal substance exposure. Dr. Mishka Terplan will provide concrete strategies for working with physicians and how they can work with social services to case plan during the prenatal period. Dr. Terplan will also discuss supporting women and infants after birth during the important “fourth trimester”.
