CFF staff provided evaluation and consulting services to the Riverside County Veterans Treatment Court (Riverside VTC). In 2012, Riverside County (CA) received a three-year grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance to provide and enhance services to veterans. Established in January 2012, the court is built upon the collaboration between the Riverside Superior Court, The Veterans Administration (VA), District Attorney, Public Defender, Probation Department, Department of Mental Health, Riverside Police Department and other County Veterans agencies. The court provides an interagency, collaborative treatment strategy for Veterans involved in the criminal justice system using evidence-based practices. The CFF evaluation team worked collaboratively with the Riverside VTC to ensure compliance with Federal reporting requirements and provided expert consultation about how evaluation data could be used in ongoing program improvement efforts.
