The webinar will provide a brief overview of the prevalence of substance use disorders in the child welfare system and take attendees through a live demonstration of resources available through the NCSACW to address the issue. Resources include web-based tutorials for child welfare workers, substance treatment counselors and family court professionals. The online training format provides an easily accessible means of providing information and resources. Participant Workbook and Supervisor Handbook components serve as examples for others looking to strengthen understanding and supervision around these issues, as well as tools to reinforce learning post-training.
