PFR Grantee Second Meeting

Second PFR Grantee Leadership Training Meeting

May 5-7, 2015

The PFR Project Team convened the Second Prevention and Family Recovery (PFR) Grantee Leadership Training Meeting on May 5-7, 2015 in Newport Beach, CA.  The meeting enabled the four grantees, the National Advisory Council (NAC) and PFR/CFF staff to come together for a training that enabled sites to further their relationships with the PFR community.

This second meeting marked the midcourse point for the four PFR Family Drug Court grantees.  Through the various presentations and grantee team work, the sites and PFR Project Team:

  • Shared and discussed key lessons learned to date about PFR program implementation
  • Engaged grantees in peer-to-peer conversations around emerging themes, challenges and solutions
  • Discussed the role of leadership in FDCs and strategies for building their sites’ leadership capacity
  • Outlined next steps for sustainability planning and discussed potential financing strategies
  • Identified programmatic and evaluation training and technical assistance (TTA) needs
  • Discussed how to best leverage the NAC’s expertise and resources to address grantees’ TTA needs
  • Identified opportunities to disseminate and apply PFR lessons learned to other jurisdictions

We want to thank all of the grantees for their active and enthusiastic participation in the meeting.
