Dr. Young was an active participant in the Confidentiality Forum conducted by SAMHSA and ACYF in March of 2001 to address the issues of confidential information across substance abuse and child welfare. Additionally she has reviewed and offered comments on all the manuals developed and major papers written on this issue.
The technical assistance provided to L.A. County DCFS and ADPA included a great deal of information on confidentiality rules and educating the child welfare participants on the requirements of treatment providers under 42 CFR.
