Theresa A. Lemus

Theresa Lemus is a Consultant and a Performance Management Liaison for the National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare and Children and Family Futures. Ms. Lemus has 17 years of professional experience administering and providing direct clinical services to consumers in both public and private organizations, and as an independent contractor providing consulting services throughout California and Nevada. Her experience includes working with children and youth, adults, and the elderly in various fields, including mental and physical healthcare, substance abuse prevention and treatment services, child welfare, and early care and education. Ms. Lemus has extensive experience working with multidisciplinary teams in the development of problem solving courts. She has served as a facilitator and a presenter for the National Drug Court Institute and serves as a peer reviewer for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and for the Bureau of Justice Assistance.

Ms. Lemus received her Bachelor´s Degree in Nursing from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. She holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration, specializing in Non-Profit Management and is licensed as a Registered Nurse and as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of Nevada.
